Wedding Singer

John has been singing since 1995 when his music teacher encouraged him to audition for the school musical 'West Side Story'. Since then John has gone from strength to strength and has developed into a; versitile, dynamic, vocal entertainer who can sing almost any genre of music.

In 2000 John performed in Godspell at Blackpool Globe Theatre infront of audiences of up to 2000 people which cemented his addiction to performing. Since graduating from Bretton Hall (Leeds University) in 2001 John has worked for major theatre companies such as Qdos Entertainment and Openwide international working at Bradford Alhambra, a tour of South Wales and Somerset and as Lead Vocalist on board a cruise ship sailing in the Med, Canaries and Caribbean.

When John returned from the Cruise Ship he set up as a freelance entertainer and over the past few years has developed into an all round entertainer. After working his way up from performing in pubs and clubs John has now built an impressive client base and CV including; Swizzels Matlow, Snap on Tools, Norbert Dentresangle, Tetley/Carlsberg, SAS and Cream Awards.

Now John works most of the time as a Wedding Singer and DJ covering the North of England 

Having such a diverse background in music has helped John to become incredibly versitile as a performer and has helped him to build a fabulous reputation. Below are a few of the genres you can expect to hear John sing during an evening of entertainment.

Swing Singer:- An accomplished Swing Singer who can sing the standards from Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin and more recent favourite Michael Buble.

Pop Singer:- Too many artists to name but Take That, Robbie Williams, Ronan Keating, Spandau Ballet

Rock Singer:- John was recently commissioned to front a rock show as lead singer at The Willows Variety centre in Salford in which he sang songs from artists such as Robbie Williams, Nickleback, Bon Jovi, U2 and Guns and Roses. 

Indie Singer:- Being at School during the 90's meant that John has been influenced by and often covers songs by Oasis, The Verve, Deep Blue Something and more recently The Killers and Paulo Nutini.

Musical Theatre Singer:- With a great deal of experience in Musical Theatre John has a very controlled and yet powerful Baritone voice and he can sing songs from many shows including Phantom of the Opera, Joseph, Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell, Evita and his favourite show RENT.
